SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Friday, June 23, 2017) – The Southern California Sports Club will have as many as five starters back to its game day roster this Saturday (June 24), when the team faces the Oxnard Guerreros FC at the Del Sol Stadium at 5:30PM (PT) for the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).

The team will have the returns of goalkeeper Tyler Wilson, defenders Max Rico and Jesus Soria and forward Roonie Moreno, who were suspended, and defender defender Taeyoung Kim, who missed last game as he was taking part on the American Korean National Sports Festival.

“We’re hoping to be at full strength again for these last three matches of the season and finish our campaign on strong note”, said midfielder Eric Gonzalez.

In the other hand, midfielder Jorge Moreno will play his last match for SoCal SC as the Mexican is headed to Spain to try out for La Liga team Leganés and second tier sides Rayo Vallecano, Albacete and Getafe.

“I really hope I can leave SoCal SC with a win”, Moreno commented. “I’m a little bit sad to be departing, but at the same I feel really grateful to the club as they helped me to be ready for my next challenges”.

SoCal SC is currently the seventh placed team of the West Southwest Conference, with 14 points (four wins, two ties, seven losses). The team is eliminated from playoff contention on its second season in the league.

SoCal SC and the Oxnard Guerreros met once before, in April, when they tied 4-4 in an exciting eight-goal match at the Fairplex.
