SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Thursday, Apr. 6, 2017) – The last two weeks of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) were not good for the Southern California Sports Club as the team struggled with back-to-back defeats against Riverside Coras and Temecula FC. This Saturday, SoCal SC has an opportunity to start turning things around as it hosts Sports Club Corinthians USA at the Fairplex at 6PM (PT).
With the two straight losses, SoCal SC stopped at the standings with the three points the team amassed against City of Angels FC on the season opener and now sits sixth at the Southwest Conference standings. Looking to move up, the team needs a positive result against Corinthians USA.
“Weeks after back-to-back defeats are never easy but I think this was a very productive one despite of that”, said SoCal SC Head Coach Daniel Musatti. “We worked on some adjustments on the field, considering things we noticed on the last two matches. We must be more competitive and that’s what we’re looking for this upcoming game, as it would be crucial match for our aspirations in the league.”
