SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Monday, Apr. 3, 2017) – Scoreless for the first time on the 2017 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season, the Southern California Sports dropped its second loss last Saturday to Temecula FC as the team was defeated 2-0 at the Lindfield Christian School on the National Game of the Week.
It was Temecula FC’s first ever win over SoCal SC, who had dominated the team’s series in 2016 with a 3-1 home win and a 1-1 road draw.
After back-to-back defeats, SoCal SC dropped to the sixth place at the West Southwest Conference with three points, right behind Temecula FC, who has four points so far.
Temecula FC scored both of its goals through corner kicks. The first was scored by Steven Lamberta at the 5th minute, while James Home-Blanchet found the back of the net at the 90th minute to seal the home team’s win.
SoCal SC returns to its second home match at the Fairplex next Saturday, at 6PM (PT) against Sport Club Corinthians USA. Tickets are already on sale and can be acquired here by as low as $5.
