SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Thursday, Apr. 13, 2017) – The San Bernardino Soccer Complex would be hosting an unparalleled opportunity for local aspiring soccer players. The tryouts held at the Inland Empire’s most iconic soccer complex, would be coordinated by SoCal SC youth academy coaches, alongside Mexican powerhouses Club de Fútbol Monterrey, Monarcas Morelia and Pumas UNAM. The activities will take place at the April 29 and 30.
The event will be open for players born between 1997 and 2004. Scouts from SoCal SC, the three Mexican clubs and some local colleges will be attending this unique opportunity for local players.
“The San Bernardino Soccer Complex staff is extremely excited to host such a prestigious and unique event at our facility and we are honored to have such respected soccer entities present at this event”, said Augusto Lima, Marketing Manager. “It has been our goal, since our new group started the management of the facility, to bring high caliber soccer to San Bernardino, and this event is a great step towards this objective. We have been working to make infrastructural improvements not only as a way to open more doors to these types of events but also to honor the many traditional tournaments that have been coming here for so long. The Inland Empire is extremely rich when it comes to soccer talent, so I am positive the event will be a success and that the coaches present will leave San Bernardino extremely satisfied.”
Each team can have up to 18 players registered and each squad will play three matches during the weekend. An $20 fee per player will be charged to cover the refereeing and organization costs.
